Leah Taylor RN BSc (Hons) Cancer Care

Based in the North East, Leah completed her nursing training in 1996 working on acute medical wards where she gains broad nursing experience managing patients with stroke, heart disease and respiratory conditions such as mesothelioma.

After this, Leah moved into hospice nursing with Marie Curie and then specifically into lung cancer nursing as Lead Lung Cancer Nurse. She is experienced in managing the patient pathway through diagnosis, treatment and advanced disease and palliative care.

 

In 2015 Leah joined Mesothelioma UK leading a team of over 30 nurses across the UK.  Leah has a Bachelor of Science in Cancer care and post- graduate in Counselling, Nursing and Genomic Medicine as well as EWI training.  She has recently co-led a research study exploring nutrition and presents at national and international conferences on Mesothelioma care and treatment as well as being an International Oncology Nursing Forum committee member and Lung Cancer UK and British Thoracic Oncology Group member.
